History buffs, get ready to go back in time to the Virginia Colony from 1699 to 1700 which was significant in the American Revolution. It formed the “Historic Triangle” together with Jamestown and Yorktown. This is the historic district and living-history museum where actors in period costumes depict daily colonial life in the streets, stores, and workshops.
There are also several other attractions nearby such as Bush Gardens which is an action-packed European-themed adventure park with 17th century charm and 21st century technology. It was voted the “World’s Most Beautiful Amusement Park”.
Lake Tahoe (Starting bid: $1,700.00)
Lake Tahoe is a freshwater lake in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains, straddling the border of California and Nevada. It’s been known for its beaches and ski resorts. Five Days In Cologne
If you are traveling to the Cologne, Germany area this spring or summer, consider spending 5 days (Thursday – Monday) with alum parent Dr. Eva Gatjen and her husband. The hosts are extremely helpful as to where and how to visit the sites – even getting you to the train station and on the right track! Gourmet cooking is Eva’s love – delicious and healthy. She provides daily breakfast and several dinners. If Germany is on your Bucket List, this is the place to start. Children are always welcomed. The minimum bid will be about $1,250.00 and airfare is not included.
