Students see real world jobs at
Steppingstone's Career Day
October 18, 2007

Steppingstone School for Gifted Education in Farmington Hills recently held its 4th Annual Career Day.

Students from kindergarten through eighth grade saw presentations and asked questions about several career choices. Older children selected the professions they wanted to sign up for, while the younger students were excited to learn more about a select number of professions.

Professions represented included engineer, logistics, dentist, politician, airline pilot, scientist, evidence technician, physical therapist, family medicine, graphic design, inventor, surgeon, librarian, teacher, fire fighter, veterinarian, accountant, architect and the Farmington Hills K9 Unit.

Kiyo Morse, Head of School, stated that Career Day gives students a reason to take classes and do well in classes that they didn't particularly want to take.

"We believe exposing them at a young age to the possibilities, gives them a reason to work hard at all of their subjects," said Morse.
